From Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 November 2021, under the Special Warfare Administration (DEP) of GEETHA, the Sniper Competition of Special Operations Units was held at the Kandili and Megaron Attica Shooting Ranges, with the participation of Hellenic Special Forces personnel. Coast Guard, as well as the Special Operations Forces (Special Operations Forces) of the Republic of Cyprus, which participated for the first time.
The ceremony, which took place on November 11, was attended by the Commander of the Special Warfare Command of GEETHA, Lieutenant General George Tsitsikostas, who presented the awards to the winners.
The Faculty with the Competition aims to attract participants from NATO countries and beyond, establishing it as a reference point for the sniper specialty both nationally and regionally.
The Competition was held for the third consecutive year and its International character contributes to the strengthening of ties between the Special Operations Units – Security Forces, as well as to the promotion of Interdisciplinarity, inter-service cooperation and the cultivation of noble rivalry.
