The ability to do molecular tests at fluctuating prices from 20 to 43 euros From tomorrow and for six months, the citizens of Neapolis-Sykeon will have thanks to the memoranda of cooperation signed by the municipality of Neapolis-Sykeon with five microbiological laboratories. Those interested should download from the gov.gr platform a certificate of marital status in printed or electronic form in order to prove that they are citizens.
Note that these prices apply only to citizens and not to residents of Naples-Sykea. Based on the memoranda of cooperation, the laboratories are committed within 24 hours to have the results ready and to register them responsibly on the platform of the National Patient Registry Covid-19 in accordance with the current legislation. Citizens will pay the amount set by the diagnostic center / laboratory of their choice. The prices refer to the whole service provided(sampling and sampling, including required reagents and consumables).
This development was a result of the open call for expressions of interest addressed by the municipality to licensed diagnostic centers. The offers were evaluated by the Economic Committee of the Municipality of Neapolis-Sykeon and today the municipality proceeded to the signing of the memoranda of cooperation with diagnostic centers, molecular and microbiological laboratories, the validity of which starts tomorrow.
“In the current economic conditions, it is very difficult for the families of our municipality to be burdened with the exorbitant cost of molecular tests. The choice that should exist today would be to prescribe them molecular PCR tests so that this service is available for free “said the mayor of Neapolis Sykeon, Simos Daniilidis. At the same time, he pointed out that similar tenders had been carried out during the lock-down periods in 2020 and 2021, through which a sufficient number of molecular tests had been ensured at low prices, covered by the municipality, for all employees in the municipality and its Legal Entities. as well as the beneficiaries of vulnerable social groups. “Gradually with the successive tenders the test prices started from 80 / test (11.8.2020) and decreased to 27 euros / test on 1.9.2021 when the free market in the summer of 2020 the prices ranged from 120 to 140 euros” he added.
