The platform arogi.gov.gr reopens for the earthquake-stricken beneficiaries of Samos who want to modify their existing statement for the provision of first aid against housing assistance, following the publication of the relevant joint ministerial decision No. 46960 EX 2022 (Government Gazette B ‘1714 / 08.04.2022) as pointed out in an announcement by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Responsible for State Aid and Rehabilitation from Natural Disasters, Mr. Christos Triantopoulos.
He points out that this allows those beneficiaries who have already applied for first aid for housing assistance, but were not compensated due to deficiencies or errors in their application, to correct their details, so that they can receive the amount due.
In a relevant statement, the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Responsible for State Aid and Rehabilitation from Natural Disasters, Mr. Christos Triantopoulos, stated:
“According to the relevant joint ministerial decision, the digital platform arogi.gov.gr opens for the period between 11 and 26 April 2022 for our fellow citizens who were affected by the earthquake of October 30, 2020 in Samos, in order to modify their application that submitted on time during the period. Thus, the Government provides the opportunity to the beneficiaries who did not complete their application correctly, to correct any errors or omissions, in order to normally receive the amount of first aid due to them.
Especially for the case of the earthquake in Samos, they submitted an application to arogi.gov.gr 547 AFM, of which 350 AFM normally received first aid, totaling 2,660,205.45 euros. For the cases of AFM that were not reimbursed, some omissions or errors were identified, such as submitting a re-inspection slip with a different name from the applicant’s, attaching a quick autopsy slip and not attaching the required re-slip slip. Also, for some properties, no first aid was granted, as they were characterized by the DAEFK engineers as holiday homes, uninhabited, warehouses or abandoned “.
It is reminded that the beneficiaries who received first aid for housing assistance will have to submit – if they have not already done so – an application for housing assistance to the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Finally, in case of modification of the application and if aid has already been paid that exceeds the amount resulting from the modification of the application, the excess amount is returned as unduly paid amount, certified and collected according to the provisions on collection of public revenue.
