There’s no way around it — April is the month of chocolate. In bars, eggs, chocolates or other desserts, the item is the favorite request of many people at Easter time. Some addresses in São Paulo are the perfect destinations for chocoholics and make people feel inside “The Fantastic Factory of Chocolates”.
In real life, stores dedicated to chocolates don’t have the singing of the Oompa Loompas or navigable rivers of the ingredient, but there are those that bet on creating special spaces – after all, “experience” is the watchword of the contemporary world.
This is the case of the new Pikurrucha’s store, opened at the end of March in Perdizes, in the west side of São Paulo. Since 2013, the bakery specializing in brigadiers has occupied a small house in the same neighborhood, with pink walls, flowers and stuffed animals. The combination of the decor designed for social networks with a menu with high doses of glucose turned the house into a phenomenon – currently, there are more than 330,000 followers on Instagram and three brand units.
With 900 square meters, the new space is even more pink, cute and full of nooks to take pictures while eating a sweetie – among the novelties, there is a carousel crowned with a teddy bear. “It’s the Disneyland of sweets”, jokes the owner Ana Silva, who relied on brands like Nestlé to create the address.
Pikurrucha’s is not the only amusement park for chocoholics in São Paulo. At Kitkat Chocolatory, customers can play virtual reality or arcade-style games before choosing from the 50 flavors available at the brand’s store at MorumbiShopping. At Fábrica de Dengo, in Pinheiros, it is possible to learn about the chocolate manufacturing process and assemble personalized bars. There are also options for Cacau Show and Mica.

Cocoa Show Mega Store
The popular brand has a few concept stores, which follow a cafeteria service model and serve special desserts and snacks – in addition, of course, to the brand’s chocolate lines. Among them, the highlight is Itapevi, in Greater São Paulo, with attractions such as a carousel, as well as allowing visitors to follow the production of bars. In the capital, the so-called Mega Stores are in malls such as Bourbon, on the west side, and Anália Franco, on the east side.
