Panhellenic 2022: For the first time a coefficient of gravity – How the molecules are calculated

The countdown for National examswhich this year begin on June 3.

The coefficients of gravity per nationally examined course were determined, for the first time this year, by decision of the Senate of the relevant HEI for each School, Department or Introductory Direction of the Department and were announced with Φ.253.1 / 148469 / Α5 / 18-11-2021 (ΒΔ 5399) Ministerial Decision issued on the basis of Law 4777/2021.

Consequently, the universities themselves now co-shape the academic physiognomy of each School or Department, determining the weighting factor of each nationally examined course for admission to them.

The way of calculating points of the participants in the national exams of the year 2022 and onwards, as well as the criteria of equality are determined with a new decision of the Minister of Education and Religions Niki Kerameos.

THE calculation of the total number of points of each candidate participating in the national exams of the year 2022 and onwards for admission to the Schools, the Departments and the Introductory Directions of Departments, is done as follows: the written grade in each of the four nationally examined courses, which are provided in the Orientation Group, where the candidate for the specific Scientific Field belongs, is multiplied by the corresponding weighting factor, as determined by a decision of the Senate of each relevant HEI , Department or Introductory Direction of Department.

The above four products are added and the final sum is multiplied by 1,000, to obtain the total number of points of each candidate.

Given the fact that the weighting factors of courses, as set by the Institutions, in some cases differ between Schools, Departments or Introductory Directions of the same subject, there may be differences in the calculation of the candidates’ points.
