With efficient and modern design, the new gearbox control frees up space in the center console. The integration fits into the environment of the i-Cockpit 3D of 208 and 2008. It combines satin chrome, black “piano” and carbon fiber for the wrist support. The materials used exude quality. The finish meets high standards.

For all engineselectric as well as internal combustion engines with automatic transmission, this new control allows the choice of different modes of operation: Reverse (R), used to reverse engagement. Neutral (N), places the vehicle in the neutral position. Drive (D), automatically selects 8 gears depending on driving style, road profile and vehicle load.

Two remote control buttons complete the functions:

Park (P), to the parking space. For internal combustion engines, pressing the Manual (M) button allows the speed to be activated manually using the paddles located behind the steering wheel. For electric motors, the Brake (B) button activates regenerative braking.

Whichever mode is selected (R, N, D, P, M or B), an indicator light illuminates to signal its activation. The wizard can also count on a reminder of the function used in the instrument panel.

All 208 and 2008 versions equipped with this new controller have the electric parking brake, which combines space saving with comfort.
