They were arrested in the context of the spontaneous procedure, at noon of 13-4-2022 in the area of Patissia, by police officers of the Athens Security Sub-Directorate, nine (9) aliens for dangerous bodily harm, kidnapping and extortion.
In particular, police officers of the above Service, in the context of investigating a complaint about the abduction of a foreigner, who is trapped in an apartment in Patissia, went to the apartment in question to cross-examine the validity of the complaint.
Inside the apartment and in various places, they located nine (9) people, and in another room the victim, who confirmed to them that he had been abducted and is being held in the apartment against his will, with threats to the lives of both him and his wife, in order to pay them the sum of -7,000- euros, in order to release him.
After the release of the victim, those involved were taken to the Patissia Security Department, to investigate the case.
From the pre-investigation investigation, it emerged that the victim and his wife entered our country illegally and upon their arrival in Athens on 11-4-20222, they met one of the accused, who took them to an apartment in Athens.
Then, in the evening hours of 12-4-20222, they separated them, transferring him to another apartment, where twho tied him up, beat him and made the above threats for ransomuntil the police located him and released him.
The arrested were taken to the Athens Public Prosecutor.
