Dimitris Lignadis, who is on trial before the MOD for four acts of rape, was hit today on the claim that at the time he is accused of raping his second plaintiff in Epidaurus, in July 2015, he was not even in the Argolic city.

An actor testified in court who said he was sure that during the disputed period, 24 to 26 July 2015, he had seen the former head of the National Theater in Epidaurus together with two young men.

The witness stressed that he can not recognize the two young people he had seen with Dimitris Lignadis in any of the persons he sees in court.

Earlier, a friend of the complainant who allegedly committed the rape in Epidaurus, who was with the accused and the alleged victim, completed his testimony, which had begun at the previous hearing.

The witness presented to the court photos that, as he said, come from the disputed trip. The witness testified that on July 24, 2015, he traveled with Dimitris Lignadis and the complainant to Epidaurus, where he pulled the material he presented to the court. In one of the six photos that the witness submitted to the court, Dimitris Lignadis, the witness and the complainant are depicted. According to the witness, the specific photo was taken on 07/24/2015 after their arrival at the hotel.

The prominent artist’s defense asked the witness to certify at the next hearing that the photographs were indeed related to the dates in question.

The actor who claims to have seen the accused in Epidaurus with the two young men, had also approached the investigator of the case in order to testify about the incident, considering, as he said today, that it is important to report it to the authorities.

According to the witness before the MOD, he had initially seen in the media that the dates of the alleged rape were in August 2015 and so he did not deal with it, as he remembered well that he had seen Lignadis with the young people in July 2015, who were staying. in the same band that he stayed in. However, as he stressed, when he saw reports that the victim was restoring his testimony regarding the dates, identifying the alleged rape on the three days of July 24 to 26, he sought to testify.

Chairman: Didn’t what changed the dates make you a little wary? You went to testify for people who have corrected the date of the event. Weren’t you wary?

Witness: No, I went to testify something I knew… because they said that no one was in Epidaurus at that time, if I remember correctly. I thought something might have gone wrong κα I remembered, because it was the dates of a particular show. I thought I should do it, without saying that the accused has done what he is accused of.

The trial will continue on April 29 with the examination of the actor by the lawyers of both sides.
