Faced with Justice and accused of crimes fan violence At the expense of their peers, are two 16-year-olds who were involved in an incident, which was reported last February, in Thessaloniki, just a few days after the murder of 19-year-old Alkis. The case was investigated by police officers of the Thessaloniki Sports Violence Sub-Directorate, following a prosecutor’s order.
It all started, as the victim complained, when one of his classmates, one of the accused, sent him threatening and insulting messages, through a social networking page, due to his fan identity, which was known to the perpetrator. The two minors agreed – then – to meet in order to resolve peacefully any dispute that the latter considered to have.
After meeting in the elementary school yard in the area of Agios Therapontas, moved, in the presence of a third minor (the other accused), to an adjacent flatbed to speak. Then, according to the complaint, the complainant was suddenly physically assaulted by his classmate, on the head and body, with the other minor watching what was happening.
Falling to the ground, as the victim later testified, and as the beatings against him continued, the perpetrator mocked him using the last words of the undefeated Alkis: “Won’t you say ‘don’t hit me anymore’?” while leaving the spot, the two minors seem to have taken money from the 16-year-old who had fallen to the ground during the attack.
The victim’s classmate was initially arrested for the incident, with the second perpetrator being later identified by the police investigation and charged with complicity in the attack.
