New Turkish overflights in Lipsi and Arki after the move of Athens

Ankara continues to provoke. The Turks made new overflights in the afternoon, about 40 minutes after Athens’s drive to Ankara.

According to the Ministry of Defense, at 5.17 in the afternoon, a third pair of Turkish F-16 fighter jets flew over Lipsi at 27,000 feet, and at 5.18 in the afternoon at Arki at 14,000 feet.

The continuing violations of Greek airspace and the overflights of Turkish aircraft on Greek islands in the Aegean, provoked the reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which testified strongly to the Turkish ambassador in Athens, stressing that these actions are an unacceptable challenge.

Earlier, pair of Turkish F-16 aircraft, flew over Arki at 10:18 at 27,000 aprons, at 10:21 at 26,000 aprons and at 10:28 at 22,000 aprons.

It then flew over Lipsi at 10:19 at 27,000 feet, at 10:22 and 10:24 at 26,000 feet and at 10:26 at 21,000 feet.

The overflight continued over Agathonisi at 10:29 at 25,000 feet, over Samos at 10:33 at 25,000 feet, over Fourni at 10:37 at 26,000 feet and over Oinousses at 10:43 at 28,000 feet .

In addition, a pair of Turkish F-16 aircraft, at 12:13 flew over Farmakonisi, at 12:15 over Lipsi, at 12:17 over Fourni and at 12:24 over Oinousses at 26,000.

In all cases, the Turkish fighter jets were identified and intercepted by respective Greeks in accordance with international rules on a regular basis.
