Gaga: The masks remain indoors

by

Watch the briefing on Coronavirus by Deputy Health Minister Mina Gaga and Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and member of the Committee of Experts Gika Majorkin.

The cases are falling, the pandemic has really entered a way of escape, we are starting a regularity following all the other countries that start living normally, stressed Ms. Mina Gaga.

Ms. Gaga referred to the decision taken earlier by the committee of experts to abolish COVID PASS in order to enter the country as well as the other suggestions, summarizing in any case that the masks remain indoors.

Referring to the cases of acute hepatitis in children, Ms. Gaga was reassuring, emphasizing that we should be careful but not worried.

Ms. Gaga stressed that the health authorities are on alert anyway, and explained that the cases were not linked to each other.

The Deputy Minister of Health called on parents to monitor the clinical picture of their children and if they see suspicious symptoms (eg in the color of urine) to consult a doctor.

For his part, o Gikas Majorkinis, spoke of de-escalation of the pandemic, with a 20% reduction in hospitalizations in single beds and a 13% reduction in ICUs. “In Greece we had a 19% reduction in diagnoses, over a 30% reduction in deaths. “Overall, we see de-escalation in Greece as well, compatible with the recession of the pandemic,” he noted.

“It will take some time to see for the fourth installment, and the support is also relevant to the development in the community at that time,” said Mr. Majorkinis.
