The student had met with the prime minister last month Kyriako Mitsotaki at the Maximos Palace. He is studying at the 1st General High School of Agios Dimitrios, Attica and was in danger of being deported from Greece due to his coming of age.

The Prime Minister expressed his personal interest in the case of the student from Guinea and informed him about the moves of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Religions to strengthen his dossier with material on his participation and performance in the school environment based on the suggestions of the Department for the Monitoring of Refugee Education, which has been operating since July 2019.

Saidou participated in this year’s student parade for the national anniversary of March 25 with his school, causing emotion in Greece.
