Payments at gas stations with intangible digital cards are proceeding normally, according to sources in the Ministry of Digital Government.
The first ones had already been made from Friday morning until Saturday noon 5,612 successful payments, while already on Thursday EUR 7 million had been credited to citizens who had requested payment of the amount in bank accounts, and not a digital card.
It is interesting that despite the Fuel Pass only works at POS gas stations, many citizens try to pay for other services. Specifically, by noon on Saturday there were 73 failed attempts payment services betting (online) and 70 also failed attempts market for electronic games.
In the field of applications, from Saturday the platform accepts applications from all AFMs (Regardless of expiration number) and now more than 1 million applications have been accepted, while about 123,000 are awaiting final submission from applicants.
It is reminded that citizens can choose to collect the fuel subsidy in a bank account or create an intangible digital card (to which they will be credited an additional 5 euros) which is used exclusively at gas stations.
As underlined in vouchers.gov.gr, the condition for the use of the card is the use of a smart phone that supports NFC technology, just as was done in the freedompass initiative in the summer of 2021.
