Remember the cute blond boy in the movie “the bomber came out”? In our story that is completely true… the baby came out, a clever little creature just 2 years old, who in the dark of midnight “erupted” from the family house and went out on the streets, in an area of Hersonissos.
The incredible incident shows that the “scaffolding” is not only cinematic but also happens in the best of families. And this is not a figure of speech. Fortunately the event had a happy ending and the little girl fell in time into the hands of a good man. It was located by a 61-year-old Greek-Filipino man, who was passing by the place, studying from his work, in a tavern in the area. Eventually the baby was taken to the Hersonissos Police Department where she remained until the morning, with the people of the service doing baby sitting due to infant… guerrilla.
The little girl’s parents, according to information from “Cretalive”, were informed about the “kick” in the morning. They woke up from the doorbell at 7.50 in the morning. Dad opened the door and saw the police. They asked him about the baby. “He is sleeping in his crib,” he replied confidently. Cradle that rocked him… When the police explained what had happened, people were shocked. They could not believe it.
Father’s tears: “I thank God and the man who found her”
The case was heard yesterday in the Autophorous Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Heraklion, with the father being referred to the bench with the accusation of complicity in the report (as for the mother, the case file was separated).
The man burst into tears wondering what could have happened to their child. “We thank God and the man who found the child,” he said with tears in his eyes.
“You are one of the lucky ones,” the president commented to his father. “Others lose everything in a second. “You took the lesson,” he said.
According to the father’s lawyer, Mr. Pantelis Ryakiotakis, early that night his client was notified of the death of his elderly grandmother and so he left for the village in order to help with the funeral proceedings.
The wife and baby stayed at home. Mom played with the little girl until about 11 at night when she put him to sleep in his crib, in the children’s bedroom. She ironed some clothes and then she fell asleep.
Dad returned to their home around 2.15am on Saturday. Because he came back late, he entered the house quietly so as not to wake them. The “bomb” exploded in the morning when the police, as mentioned above, rang the bell of the house.
The court was told that the parents made a great effort to have this little girl, whom they are raising with a lot of love and affection. The baby goes to a private daycare center, the family house is full of toys and has a playground.
The father was acquitted, while the court assured that he is already in contact with a technician in order to install beams around the house and alarm systems on all the doors and windows to keep their heads calm!
