In an unexpected circumstance for him Babi Anagnostopoulostoday, which marks exactly one year since the violent death of the 20-year-old Carolinehe is called to apologize for the “crime in Glyka Nera” that shocked thousands of people in Greece and abroad.

The 34-year-old pilot today after 10 in the morning will be called by Mixed Jury Court to give explanations for what happened on the night that marked the end of Caroline’s life but also the end of the life lived until then by the pilot himself and the couple’s newborn daughter.

Babis Anagnostopoulos is facing charges related to the cold-blooded murder of the 20-year-old, her brutal killing dog Roxy and the false allegations and testimonies given for 37 days by the perpetrator of the crime, appearing as a survivor of a horrible robbery that took place in the early hours of May 11, 2021 in the maisonette in Glyka Nera.

The 34-year-old pilot’s crime against the British citizenship of the mother of his child is a confessed crime, however with what he will say today the accused will probably try to justify the cruelty towards the woman who a few years ago fell in love and tried to “charm”. towards his child who left him next to his mother’s lifeless body but also to the puppy that Caroline adored.

Caroline, according to the case file, had one slow “anxious” death as he struggled to breathe for six whole minutes. The young woman was found with a cloth wrapped around her neck, tied to a pole with her baby sleeping leaning on her back, while Roxy was hanging with her leash on the railing of the inner staircase.

The pilot is expected to try to convince the judges that the crime was committed, that he was provoked by “Caroline’s aggressive behavior towards the child” and that he did not plan anything at all. In his apology to the Investigator, the 34-year-old had argued that it was not true that he had planned the crime, that it was not true that he was in a calm state of mind and that “other events triggered” his reaction.

He had also claimed at the time that all subsequent “directing” was done solely to protect the child and not to lose him if he confessed his act. “For my daughter to grow up at least with her father,” she said in a statement.

The apology of the 34-year-old is expected to last several hours as after saying what he wants, he will be asked to answer questions from the court and the lawyers of both sides.

The next court hearing is set for Monday, May 16.
