One of the most visited places in São Paulo, the Ibirapuera Park combines greenery, sports attractions, cultural and educational programs, but little stood out in terms of gastronomy. Now the space has a trendy restaurant to call its own: the Selvagem.

Managed by the same staff as Vista, a mix of bar and restaurant that occupies the top penthouse of the Museum of Contemporary Art and offers views of the Ibirapuera, the new kitchen opens its doors this Tuesday, the 17th. Until the 31st, visits are made by reservation only. After that, the house will accept those who have not booked in advance.

During the week, O Selvagem is open for dinner only. On Saturdays, also for lunch. On Sundays, only at lunch.

With the opening, the park gains an attraction for the night period, since the other restaurant in the place, Prêt-no-MAM, a buffet inside the Museum of Modern Art, opens only at lunch. The other gastronomic options in the place are the Café Pão, at the Bienal, in addition to the kiosks and street vendors.

Installed at gate 5, Selvagem occupies a space of 660 square meters integrated with nature. The area, which used to be a snack bar, is open and surrounded by trees.

Signed by chef Filipe Leite, the menu invests in Brazilian ingredients. Among the starters, there are the cassava dumplings with curd cheese and finished with sweet and sour guava sauce (R$ 42) and the peach palm and grilled mushrooms with curd, toasted baru, flakes of tulha cheese, arugula and honey (R$ 52). , for example.

Among the main dishes, there is the grilled octopus, served with red pork rice in brown sugar, accompanied by pineapple vinaigrette (R$ 119), and the fresh pequi pasta with chicken, cured yolk and mustard and cabbage leaves (R$ 119). 84).

Bartender Jairo Gama, also from Vista, is responsible for the drinks. The drinks follow the cuisine’s proposal, with ingredients such as cambuci, taperebá, bacuri, jambu and cashew.
