New measures in force from today for the unvaccinated – The three stages

The new measures to stop the 4th wave of the covid-19 pandemic, which further restrict the mobility of the unvaccinated, will take effect from today, Monday at 6:00 am. On Saturday, the Official Gazette was published with the “Emergency measures to protect public health from the risk of further spread of coronavirus COVID-19 throughout the country, for the period from Monday, November 22, 2021 at 06:00 to Monday, 6 December 2021 at 06:00 “.

Detailed measures for vaccinated, sick and unvaccinated

It is mandatory to use a protective mask in all indoor areas, including workplaces and in all outdoor areas where congestion occurs. It is also recommended to keep distances of one and a half meters between people (one person per 2 sq.m.) indoors and outdoors, either pure for fully vaccinated and sick during the last six months or mixed. It is clarified that children 0 – 4 years old enter all areas without control.

The three stages of the new measures

The new complementary measures have three stages. The first stage is the areas, which are accessible to all – unvaccinated and vaccinated, without any further measures other than the use of a mask. They concern the areas that are essential such as pharmacies, food supply areas, supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, patisseries, wineries.

The second stage concerns access to vaccinated, sick in the last 6 months and unvaccinated with diagnostic test. It concerns retail businesses, open restaurants, hairdressers, private and public workplaces, education, beauty salons, places of worship.

Citizens enter upon presentation of a certificate of vaccination, or certificate of illness, or a certificate of negative diagnostic test for coronavirus COVID-19 (PCR or rapid test, 72/48 hours respectively before their presence in the store).

Minors 4-17 years with negative self-test (self-test), within the last 24 hours before their presence in the area.

The third stage concerns access only for those who have been vaccinated or infected with coronavirus in the last six months. Concerns entertainment venues including indoor banquets, music venues and bars, restaurants (restaurants, cafes, internet cafes), museums, indoor monuments and venues for art and other art exhibitions, film screenings, theaters, conferences, gyms, indoors. Admission is only allowed to people who have been vaccinated or become ill during the last six months. Visitors enter upon presentation of a mandatory vaccination certificate, or disease certificate. Minors from four to 17 years old can, alternatively, submit a negative self-test statement within the last 24 hours before their presence at the site.

Rolling hours and modification of store hours

The public service is preferably, but not exclusively, by appointment. Absolutely urgent cases are excluded from the application of this point, in particular access to police stations, which cannot be postponed.

Meetings of collective bodies and working meetings are held, by teleconference or through physical presence with the participation of up to seven people.

Private companies

Upon entry, citizens are required to present a certificate of vaccination, or a certificate of illness, or a certificate of negative coronavirus (PCR or rapid test). Minors from four to 17 years old may, alternatively, submit a negative self-test statement.

Up to 15 people are allowed in the courtroom, the prosecutor’s office and the military courts.

Hospitals, clinics, clinics, diagnostic centers and rehabilitation centers

One attendant / visitor per patient. Fully vaccinated and patients who have been ill for the last six months are not subject to laboratory testing prior to entering a public or private primary health care facility, including public and private clinics.

Unvaccinated or non-vaccinated patient attendants undergo a laboratory test (PCR or rapid test) within 48 hours prior to entering a public or private primary care facility, including public and private clinics.

Fully vaccinated or ill patients in the last six months undergo a laboratory test (PCR or rapid test) within 48 hours before entering any other public or private health facility.

Unvaccinated or non-vaccinated patient attendants undergo laboratory testing for COVID-19 by PCR within 48 hours prior to entry into any other public or private health facility.

In the above cases, the results of the laboratory tests are confirmed through the special application Covid Free GR. Excluded from the above obligations are the escorts of patients who come to the Emergency Department. Patients attending a public or private health facility for examination are not subject to laboratory testing for COVID-19.

Patients attending a public or private health facility for an invasive or aerosol test may undergo a PCR or rapid test.

Exempted from the above obligations are patients who come to a public or private health facility to deal with emergencies.

Places of Worship

Entry of persons to participate in a religious ceremony with a certificate of vaccination, a certificate of illness or a certificate of negative diagnostic test for coronavirus (PCR or rapid test). Negative self-test statement for children 4-17 years old. Religious ministers and chanters are exempted from the obligatory use of the mask exclusively during the religious ceremony.
