More from 60 aircraft and helicopters from our country (F-16, M2000-5, F-4E, C-130H, AB-205A and EMB-145H), Belgium (F-16 MLU), France (RAFALE, E-2C), Switzerland (F / The A-18 Hornet), Spain (EF-18 Hornet), Italy (EF-2000 Eurofighter) and the Czech Republic (Mi-24) participated in the NATO Tiger Meet 2022 multinational mid-range air exercise, which ended today. ΄
The exercise was conducted throughout the Athens FIR rangeday and night, in order to provide high quality operational training in the spirit of “Train as you will fight” with these aircraft to complete more than six hundred exits from Araxos air base.
During the day, complex air missions were carried out, covering a wide range of scenarios of modern air warfare (defense / offensive operations, air isolation, dynamic targeting, operations to suppress – destroy enemy air defenses, target – maritime operations).
The exercise also involved Army and Navy forces, as well as observers, personnel from across Austria, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, Portugal and Poland.
The “NATO Tiger Meet 2022”, which started on Monday, May 9, was held for the first time in Greece.
