Traffic fees 2021: The procedure for the declaration of immobility of a vehicle

by

Owners who do not wish to pay the 2022 road tax for their car can declare that they will keep it stationary.

Now the deposit of plates has been replaced by the declaration of immobility through of the AADE myCAR platform. From the same environment in which the traffic fees are paid, the interested parties can put their vehicle in digital immobility, by digitally submitting its license plates, without having to visit the Tax Office. Only the use of TAXISnet codes is required to enter the platform.

I want to put my vehicle in digital still. What should I do;

You are connected to the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (www.gov.gr) and more specifically to the myCAR application with the codes Taxisnet. Select or enter the registration number of the vehicle you wish to immobilize digitally. Enter the T.K. of the area, street and number. You declare responsibly the parking space, which must be privately owned, rented or leased. Submit your application and if you are the sole owner the system gives you an application number and informs you that the vehicle has been immobilized digitally. In case there are co-owners, they will be informed of your request, which will have to be approved in order to complete the process.

2. Q Can I put all my vehicles in digital still?

No, digital immobility is only allowed for Passenger Cars. and Two-wheeled cars, whose condition is “in motion” and the owner has their license and license plates.

3. Q Are there cases in which I have to go to the Tax Office to declare the immobility of my vehicle?

In the following cases, the immobility is declared to the competent Tax Office. : (a) Theft or embezzlement of the vehicle (b) Traffic of the vehicle abroad (c) Transfer of the vehicle which has not been completed (d) Seizure of the vehicle by a public authority with its registration data (e) Removal of its registration data (f) Delivery to the premises of the Alternative Vehicle Management of Greece (EDOE) for the purpose of its final deletion by recycling (g) Complete destruction of the vehicle due to fire or other cause (h) Auction of the vehicle (i) Alienation of the owner or owner of the vehicle, as in the case of collection by the Municipality as abandoned (j) Any other case where the owner or holder of the vehicle does not own either the vehicle or its registration data (license and license plates).

4. Q If I want to remove digital stillness, what do I do?

With the TAXISnet codes, you enter the platform, select the vehicle that is in digital immobility, pay the traffic fees of the current year, check online if the vehicle is insured at the date and time of completing the relevant application and then submit it request. The payment of annual traffic fees is required for:  the transfer of the vehicle,  its final deletion from the vehicle register  its export from Greece, as well as for the reclassification of the vehicle

5. Q If I want to remove digital immobility for certain months within the year.

If there is a legal arrangement for the payment of proportional traffic fees, follow the steps described in question 3 and choose to pay monthly traffic fees depending on the months you wish to put your vehicle in digital motion. ATTENTION:  the right to remove immovable property (digital or voluntary at the Tax Office) is granted only once a year.  When the movement period for which proportional amounts have been paid proportionally expires. the vehicle must be immobilized immediately.

6. Q If I pay proportional traffic fees for 2 months on 25/6/2021, for how many months can my vehicle be put into operation?

You can choose any time period you want to do immobilization. But part of a month (even a day) counts as a whole month. That is, if you start your vehicle on 25/6/2021, you have the right to release it for the rest of June and throughout July. It is understood that a vehicle cannot be set in motion on 1/12/2021 for two months, since it is only one month. For this reason, if today the payment is requested, e.g. for 2 months, the payment notice shows a payment deadline until 30/11/2021 for the simple reason that if he pays on 1/12/2021 he must pay only for 1/12 and not for 2/12.

7. Q What is a temporary marketing authorization with a “M” plate?

With the license plate “M”, you can register your vehicle up to 3 days a year by paying a fee of 10 euros / day for a passenger car. or 3.00 euros / day for a private car. The days can be 3 consecutive once, or twice a year1 and 2 consecutive or 2 consecutive and 1. The right can not be granted a third time in the same year. The M is granted digitally, regardless of whether the vehicle has been placed in voluntary immobility at the Tax Office. or in digital immobility, exclusively:  for its delivery, at a collection point of End of Life Vehicles (ATKZ), or  for its repair and control by KTEO or  for the change of the space in which it is kept.

8. Q In case the owner dies and has put the vehicle in digital immobility, can the heirs remove the digital immobility?

No, the heirs should apply to the Tax Office. of the deceased.

9. Q I am a co-owner of a vehicle. Can I immobilize it digitally or remove the digital immobility without informing the other co-owners?

No. All co-owners must agree whether the vehicle is to be immobilized or removed. Co-owners are informed via personalized information or by e-mail if it has been declared, and if they agree they must approve the request.

10. Q I have submitted the license plates of my vehicle to the competent Tax Office. Can I digitally remove the property?

No, you should contact the Tax Office. in order to submit the relevant removal request and to receive the registration data of your vehicle. Digital immobilization is done only when the vehicle has been immobilized digitally.

11. Q If during an inspection, it is found by the competent authorities that the vehicle is circulating or parked in a public place and has license plates, while it is in digital immobility, what are the consequences for me?

In this case the immovable property is revoked, payment of the Traffic Fees and their overdue payment fine is imposed, as well as an administrative fine of € 10,000. In case of recurrence, an administrative fine of € 30,000 is imposed and the driving license of the owner / holder is removed.
