The competent Committee of Ethics, Implementation of the Statute and Certification of the Movement for Change (EDEKAP), with its announcement, reminds who can vote on 5/12 and (if necessary) on 12/12 in the internal party elections to elect the president of KINAL.

The announcement acquires special importance, as the discussion about the possible participation of members of other parties in the KINAL electoral process becomes more and more intense.

EDEKAP makes it clear that the members and friends of the Movement for Change vote in the internal party elections, while recalling the respective articles 4 and 5 of the Articles of Association.

Specifically, it states:

“Members and friends of the Movement for Change can register Greek citizens, citizens of the European Union and foreigners residing legally and permanently in Greece, from the age of 16, who accept its principles and aspirations, if they do not participate in another Greek political party or organizations and bodies whose objectives are in conflict with those of the body. The members of the body can also maintain their membership in one of the parties, movements and collectives that make up the Movement for Change.

Members of the Movement for Change are those who agree with its principles, aspirations, organization and operation, accept its program and these statutes and wish to contribute to the achievement of its goals, the promotion of its positions and the promotion of action. of”.

EDEKAP clarifies that during the election process whoever is not a member of the Movement signs an application and confirms that he is not a member of another political party, that he accepts and fully undertakes the commitments arising from the respective capacity based on the relevant articles of the Articles of Association and still consents and authorizes the Movement for Change to use the elements of the voter list based on the legal framework for the protection of personal data.

He also stressed that the members of the election commissions, the person in charge of the polling station, as well as the representatives of the candidates who will remain inside the polling station, must have a certificate of vaccination or disease or rapid test of the last 48 hours, while the use of a mask is mandatory in all enclosed spaces.
