“We are ready to take over the governance of the country and to face the problems that exist in Greek society due to the policies of the government,” the SYRIZA president said.
With a tour in the villages of Archangelos and Afandou, the president of SYRIZA – PS Alexis Tsipras completed his tour on the island of Rhodes on Wednesday night.
Speaking in the village of Afandou, where several of his supporters had gathered, Mr Tsipras reiterated that the Mitsotakis government had decided to flee by calling elections before winter because, he said, he feared the consequences of his actions.
“We are ready to take over the governance of the country and to face the problems that exist in Greek society due to the policies of the government,” said the president of SYRIZA – PS. Of course, there are no “money trees” but we promise that we will uproot the “money trees” that exist, Mr. Tsipras also stressed in another part of his speech.
He also expressed the belief that SYRIZA-PS will win the upcoming elections whenever they are held and promised that the new government will address the issue of accuracy that affects society, energy costs and that there will be support measures for young people and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Particularly moving was the moment when a 95-year-old fan approached Mr. Tsipras and offered him a bouquet, telling him that he was waiting to see him again as Prime Minister.
Both in Afandou and earlier in Archangelos, Mr. Tsipras had meetings with residents listening to the problems that concern them
