Tsipras: For the 3rd time Mr. Mitsotakis refuses minimum consent while the pandemic breaks any negative record |

The Prime Minister of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, attributed the sole political responsibility for the outbreak of the pandemic to the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at the meeting of the Political Center that he convened, and once again accused him of refusing to reach an agreement.

According to information from Koumoundourou, during his statement, Alexis Tsipras stated that “the new wave of the pandemic that comes violently and finds the country unprepared again, two years after the outbreak of the coronavirus, bears the political stamp and signature of Kyriakos Mitsotakis Noting that “while the pandemic is now under control in other European countries, Greece is recording dramatic negative records with almost 5,500 cases and is in the worst position and in deaths per million population and in the course of vaccination.”

He then blamed the government, stressing: “The government had two years to prepare the NSS, it did not. He had a year to properly and purposefully promote the vaccination program, as so many European countries did not. He had a year to prepare treatment protocols and bring medicines used in other countries, but he did not. “All he did was declare the end of the pandemic every three months, celebrate that he had defeated the coronavirus, that we were in the last mile, sending messages of relief to the people and completely discrediting the scientists.”

He referred to SYRIZA’s stance, saying that “with a sense of responsibility towards human life, for the third time in a year we extended a helping hand with a proposal for minimum consent, in order to deal with the pandemic of scientists who will not work on political grounds.” He concluded by focusing on the Prime Minister: “For the third time, Mr. Mitsotakis refused, confirming his arrogance and the lack of understanding of the critical moments. Therefore, the political responsibility both for the current situation and for what is coming in the difficult winter that we are facing, belongs exclusively to him “.
