The Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, referred to the protection of the borders to prevent illegal migratory flows, to the library of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki under construction and to strengthen the presence of police officers at airports and tourist destinations.
Speaking to ANT-1’s main news bulletin, he stated that no Greek should doubt our absolute readiness and our determination in Evros.

“Our neighboring country, it is good to abandon such threatening acts and challenges to which it has been engaged lately, because they do not have the slightest meaning. “Greeks, when it comes to defending territorial integrity and national sovereignty, we are absolutely united and strong.”
Mr. Theodorikakos stated that since the beginning of the year, 40,000 illegal immigrants have been prevented from entering our country and 150 traffickers have been arrested.
