The composition of the Special Court for the trial of former minister Dimitris Papagelopoulos was announced, which resulted from a lottery in the Parliament.
The lottery, conducted by the Speaker of the Parliament, Costas Tasoula, was held among the members of the Supreme Court, the Council of State and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court, for the selection of thirteen regular and six alternate members of the competent Special Court, as well as the acting prosecutor and his deputy, in accordance with articles 86 par. 4 of the Constitution, 158 par. 1 and 2 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament and 12 of Law 3126/2003 “Criminal liability of Ministers” as they apply, after the issuance of the number 25/2022 of the Parliament of the Judicial Council of article 86 paragraph 4 of the Constitution.
