The German ambassador in Athens, Ernst Reichel, took a clear position in favor of Greece regarding challenging map of Devlet Bakhtseli which shows half of the Aegean islands and Crete as belonging to Turkey.
“The German position is clear. Any questioning of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Greece is unacceptable,” wrote the German ambassador in Athens, Ernst Reichel, on Twitter.

In his post, the German ambassador quotes Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ reply yesterday: “Pay close attention to this map. Crete, Rhodes, Lesvos, Chios, Samos, all these islands ‘absorbed’ by Turkey. A delusion by the extremists or Turkey’s official policy? Another challenge or the real goal? President ErdoÄŸan must clarify his position in the face of the antics of his smaller government partner,” the prime minister said in his post on Twitter.
