Hard rock of the parties: Pispirigou of Education and eksotsoglanism

“Hard rock” and toxicity in the political scene are certain to exist. It was also seen from yesterday’s debate in the Parliament, while today Alexis Tsipras is expected to answer Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

A marathon awaits the political parties until the spring of 2023. Since the prime minister argues in every appearance for the completion of his constitutional mandate, the parties are faced with two options that hide from a trap:

To continue their pre-election campaign at the same pace. The risk that the candidate MPs will “burn in the warm-up” for the next 8-9 months, but also tire the electorate, is great.

To drop the pre-election rhythms, to go even further behind the compilation of the ballots, leaving, however, in this case ground for the prime minister to proceed at any moment with an electoral surprise.

The “hard rock” and the toxicity in the political scene it is certain that they will exist. It was also seen from yesterday’s debate in the Parliament. The government would not let the unacceptable post of Christoforos Bernardakis – who called Niki Kerameos “The Pispirigo of education” – go down.

Such interventions go beyond toxicity and it is typical that Olga Gerovasilis contacted the party’s deputy from Monday night and asked him to delete the video, but also to apologize publicly. Something Mr. Bernardakis did. The damage, however, was once again done for SYRIZA.

On the day that Alexis Tsipras was organizing his first central election rally in Attica, in one of the party’s “castles”, in Peristeri, the spotlight focused on one of his MPs.

Christoforos Bernardakis’s attack on the Minister of Education is not the norm for how the political confrontation will take place. It does show, however, that things can get out of hand very easily in a long campaign period. Result; Wednesday’s debate in the Plenary on the changes in the universities did not get to the point and strayed from the main agenda which was extremely important.

It is a fact that the thermometer has already risen to the red. THE Alexis Tsipras from Peristeri spoke about “Mitsotaki regime”, estimated that he postponed the early elections because “ND is collapsing” and predicted that SYRIZA will win the elections whenever they are held. The prime minister took advantage of the absence of the official opposition leader from the Parliament and spoke on the occasion of Mr. Bernardakis about “Polarization”, for “Syrizaic Pharisaism” and for “exfoliation” of public life. Today the continuation is expected in the Plenary, as Mr president of SYRIZA, even with a delay he will respond.

In this environment comes to be added and the revival of the conflict ND – PASOK. The insistence of Nikos Androulakis not to recognize that the first party automatically appoints the prime minister irritates Piraeus Street. It is characteristic that what Nikos Androulakis mentioned to SKAI – that if the people punish ND and SYRIZA and drop their percentages significantly, it will not put Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Tsipras in the prime ministership through the window – only the majority side responded .

She accused him of “creative ambiguity”, he asked to say clearly who he wants as prime minister and that he has no right to hide anymore. In SYRIZA, there are many times when they are tempted to “fight” with Charilaou Trikoupi, the central direction, however, is that the conflict is one-sided against the SW.

The months-long war climate, however, does not seem to favor PASOK, which is still in a good polling phase, it has small losses, but as long as the elections are delayed, the accomplices of the polarization of the two “big” ones will squeeze it.

The “hard rock” of the parties is not expected to stop even in the summer. The summer break of the Parliament will be replaced by the squares and the tours of the political leaders. The factions will follow the tactic of keeping their “engines warm”, as in September, starting with TIF, the “decibels” are expected to rise even more.
