“The digital Disability Certification Centers (KEPA) and the Disability Card are coming with a plan”
With the digital disability certification procedures – apart from the medical examination – the suffering will be drastically reduced, the government representative stressed on Tuesday in a post on Twitter Giannis Oikonomou.
“The digital Disability Certification Centers (KEPA) and the Disability Card are coming with a plan, so that from September 15, all disability certification procedures – except for the medical examination – will be done digitally, drastically reducing the inconvenience” characteristically mentions Mr. Economou.

It is noted that a National Disability Portal is being created, i.e. a single digital platform that functions as a one-stop service and brings together the basic functions of interest to people with disabilities (certification by KEPA, disability register and card, register of benefits). “In other words, it is about the electronic point of contact for people with disabilities with the State for all the individual information or services they need.” Through it, people with disabilities:
– They have access to their personal data kept in the Digital Register of the Disabled
-Submit a request for disability assessment and certification,
-Submit a request for a Disability Card,
– They are served for pension, allowance, social and financial benefits or social services, provided by the legislation for disabled people.
– They are informed about the available benefits and the eligibility criteria for these benefits.
Secondly, the disability certification process by the PES is completely reformed, which will henceforth be done digitally with an application and will result in the issuance of a single medical opinion/certification for each use. Mr. Hatzidakis analyzed the steps for certification through the new digital operating system of KEPA.
