“Each competent authority of the Greek State must assist, with its expertise and within the framework of its responsibilities, the investigation and clarification of Mr. Androulakis’ complaint, both at the Greek and at the European Union level,” said the government representative.
THE petition of Nikos Androulakis it must be immediately investigated by the Greek judiciary, the government spokesman, Yiannis Oikonomou, says in a statement.
He also notes that all the competent authorities of the State must assist in clarifying the case.

“The indictment of Mr. Androulakis – regarding the attempted infection of his mobile phone, in September 2021, by malicious tracking software – must be immediately investigated by the Greek Justice.
At the same time, every competent authority of the Greek State must assist, with its expertise and within the framework of its competences, the investigation and clarification of Mr. Androulakis’ complaint, both at the Greek and at the European Union level”.
Coming out of the Areopagus, Mr. Androulakis stated: “An attempt was made to trap my mobile with predator software. Revealing who is behind these sick practices and for whom they act is my democratic duty and not a personal matter. Throughout my journey I learned to struggle in transparency, in the light, in the spotlight. Because transparency is a required element of the smooth functioning of our political system. In this dark affair I will not compromise with half-measures and evasions.
