Cabinet: Rich agenda – From energy to artificial intelligence

Kyriakos Pierrakakis will present to the Council of Ministers the national strategy for artificial intelligence and then the legislative initiative will be put to consultation.

With a rich agenda, the Council of Ministers meets today at 11 in the morning, where a series of bills with a social sign will be presented, concerning consumer protection, renewable energy sources and artificial intelligence.

With the aim of “bringing the future together into the present” and the further simplification of the state – as he recently stated – the Minister of State Kyriakos Pierrakakis will present to the Council of Ministers the national strategy for artificial intelligence and then the legislative initiative will be put to consultation .

The legislation in question provides for services that will further simplify public procedures and make citizens’ lives much easier, and as exemplarily stated in an interview by Mr. Pierrakakis, a company that uses artificial intelligence technologies for its employees, will be required to inform them, or drones can now be used for postal services.

  • Presentation by the Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy Yiannis Plakiotakis of the bill for the Code of Private Maritime Law
  • Presentation by the Minister of Rural Development and Food Giorgos Georgantas of the bill for the Hellenic Agricultural Organization Demetra
  • Presentation by the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Christos Stylianidis and Deputy Minister Evangelos Tournas of the legislative initiative for the National Plan for Aerial Search and Rescue
  • Proposal by the Minister of Justice Kostas Tsiaras for the selection of Vice Presidents of the Council of State
  • Proposal by the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras for the selection of Vice Presidents of the Legal Council of the State
  • Proposal by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Niki Kerameos for the amendment of the Organization of the Academy of Athens.​
