He added that Turkey is defending its “rights” in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean as well as the rights of the Turkish Cypriots.
“But we say, ‘You have 3,000 islands in the Aegean and you are coming right under our noses. You claim a maritime area of responsibility of 40,000 sq.km. You are the one who ignores our rights as well as those of the Turkish Cypriots in the Southern Mediterranean. You are arming yourself with the so-called threat and run behind creating alliances. You open your gates to third countries””. said the Turkish defense minister.
