“There were a few backlogs for checks carried out by the competent agencies and related to the previous semester and we also added June to cover beneficiaries whose settlement statements came out in June,” he explained about the pending payments.
The whole process is estimated to be completed by the end of this month and the payments of the remaining 50 million euros will be made immediately after, in early September.
For Fuel Pass 2, Mr. Staikouras said that the process was completed yesterday and 2.2 million citizens have been credited with the amounts to their accounts. As he said, the applications that will be made in August or will be paid in August are pending.
He noted, in fact, that 73% of citizens chose to credit the amount to bankso they preferred to take less money but be able to use it in other sources as well.
“These measures are 500 million euros”, the minister emphasized.
