The polls for the election of a new leadership of the Movement for Change opened at 7 in the morning in 840 polling stations in Greece and abroad where Greeks living abroad, in European countries, in the USA and Australia. The voting will last until 7 pm, although it is not excluded that a short extension may be given by a decision of the competent Committee on Statutes and Electoral Procedures (EDEKAP).
Those who are already members of KINAL as well as those who wish to register as members or friends of the party coming to the polling stations have the right to vote. They will have to fill in the relevant application and vote paying a contribution of 3 euros.
They can also vote for 17-year-olds born up to 31/12/2004 and registered in the National Voters’ Lists. The competent operators will look for the identification data required by the information system of the Ministry of Interior where they look for the election number with which the voter is certified. A police ID, passport or driver’s license is required for identification. Younger people will also be able to vote, for example 16-year-olds after, among other things, they present a printed AMKA certified printed by the application.
Nikos Androulakis will vote in Heraklion, Crete, Andreas Loverdos will vote in Metamorfosi, George Papandreou in Tavros, Haris Kastanidis in Thessaloniki and in Athens Pavlos Geroulanos and Pavlos Christidis.
As EDEKAP has announced, “citizens of European Union countries residing permanently in Greece, in addition to the identity card (identity card or passport) must, in addition to the application for registration of a member or friend, also submit an AMKA certificate from the IDIKA application. Foreigners who live in our country must have a passport, a valid residence permit in our country, an AMKA certificate from the application of IDIKA and necessarily if they are not members of the Movement to submit an application for registration as a member or friend of the Movement.

Those who turn out to vote will be required to wear a mask while at the polling station. It is good to keep their distance and avoid crowding as they will be outdoors until they vote.
Abroad in the USA, EU, UK and Australia can vote those Greek citizens who meet the above criteria. That is, they are registered in the National Electoral List. Their certification will be done in the same way as if they were in Greece.

Australia: 10am to 7pm local time
Cyprus: from 9:00 to 19:00 local time
European Union from 9:00 to 17:00 local time
England from 12:00 to 18:00 local time
USA from 9:00 to 16:00
Canada: Montreal 9:00 to 15:00 and Toronto 9:00 to 14:00 local time
After the ballot box closes, the counting begins. It is estimated around 10 pm to announce 15% of the results that will allow the final result to be seen as a trend.
