Hellenic Institute of Advanced Studies: Founding event for innovation and robotics

With the great participation of distinguished Greek researchers and scientists, the inaugural web conference of the Hellenic Institute of Advanced Studies was successfully held, an academic initiative of Greeks of the Diaspora that aims to bring recognized Greek academics to the world. bridges of cooperation with Greek universities and research centers.

The meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation Christos Dimas and under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in Boston. The rector of the NTUA, Andreas Boudouvis and the professor of Robotics at the University of Rice, Lydia Kavraki, presented initiatives of the Institute for collaborations with Universities and Businesses and the strengthening of the Greek academic community through collaborations with expatriate colleagues.

The initiative of the Institute for the promotion of robotics in Greece was analyzed by George Pappas (professor at the University of Pennsylvania) and Michalis Triantafyllou (professor at MIT), while Eleni Hatzi (ETI Zurich) and Daphne Manousaki ( HIAS next steps that include conferences, joint research programs and the creation of work offices for the members of the Institute in Greece.
