According to information, the former Governor of EYP Panagiotis Kontoleon, appeared vertical on the surveillance case as he reportedly stated that neither the prime minister nor his office were informed of any declassification of communications. According to the same sources, Mr. Kontoleon reinforced his opinion by announcing that the information is provided through official memos if this is deemed necessary.

At the same time, other sources accused the former EYP commander of refusing to answer the question of whether the file was destroyed with the surveillance of PASOK-KINAL president Nikos Androulakis, as some media had reported.

For his part, the former Commander of the EYP during SYRIZA, Yannis Roubatis although he allegedly, always according to information, claimed that no political figure was being monitored, he appeared according to the same sources, at the same time, to indirectly confirm the surveillance of Spyros Sayas, Secretary General of the Tsipras government, and of Stergios Picsiorlas.

However, according to other information, Mr. Roubatis, during the briefing of the Institutions and Transparency Committee, claimed that no politician is being monitored and in particular that the Prime Minister and his family were never involved in the operational operation of the EYP.
