Commenting on the statements of the official opposition leader Alexis Tsipras in Veria, the deputy minister to the prime minister and government representative Giannis Oikonomou stresses:
“Instead of many words, just two points against the shameless lies of Mr. Tsipras: Greece, thanks to the mechanism it applies, has lower final consumer prices in electricity tariffs than the EU average. On the same day that Mr. Tsipras surrounds his doom and gloom, it was announced that Greece has, in the second quarter of the year, the 5th highest growth in the EU, amounting to 7.7%, with the country’s GDP to be above the level it had before the pandemic”.
