PASOK accuses the government of shadow theater in the investigation committee
“After the filing of an indictment with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court and by a SYRIZA MP, it is demonstrated that the use of the illegal Predator software in Greece is extensive,” says a PASOK announcement.
It is also emphasized that “it is imperative that the ND government stop the ‘shadow theater’ in the commission of inquiry and call all the witnesses we proposed, to shed light on the Predator aspect as well, as the spy software costing millions of euros, cannot trafficked uncontrollably and become a weapon of entrapment.
And second refusal to summon the persons involved with the Predator it will constitute a clear declaration of guilt and cover-up. There must be an immediate investigation into the company related to the software in question.”
The announcement concludes: “It is also necessary more than ever for the Speaker of the Parliament to accept the request submitted in August at the Conference of Presidents by the representatives of PASOK-Movement for Change and to immediately take initiatives to check the mobile phones of all the parties’ MPs, to find out how many are being monitored but also to ensure the confidentiality of the communications of the elected parliamentarians”.
