“Until now, Greece has always followed a pro-Russian policy. For the first time, he took a position on the side of the US,” said the Turkish Foreign Minister

In upgrading the “rivalry” with USA Ankara is reportedly proceeding, arguing that the Washington uses Greece as an opposing force against Turkey.

As his correspondent reports from Instabul, Manolis Kostidisaccording to the Hurriyet newspaper and the TGRT Haber television channel, one of the main topics of the central committee of the Justice and Development Party under the presidency of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was foreign policy.

There the foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu reportedly stated:

“Greece currently wants to appear stronger in the eyes of the EU and the US. We follow a friendly, neighborly attitude towards Greece, but we hope that Greece will not come to any more unfair provocations. The party that did not comply with the international agreements that were signed in the past, is Greece. Everyone knows we’re right. We have taken every measure regarding this process. But I think Greece got the message we gave.

With Greece, we did not change position. We are at the same point. But Greece changed its position. Militarizes the islands, acts against international law. Turkey’s reaction is justified. Until now, Greece has always followed a pro-Russian policy. For the first time he took a position on the side of the USA. Also used by the US because Turkey has become more powerful in the region and they (including the US) are planning Greece as a new power against this power”.
