We have a strong force of the Greek Police, which has the responsibility of guarding the borders, together with the Greek army. If we did not have this power, hundreds of thousands of irregular immigrants would have flowed into Greece. This is the reality. Since the beginning of the year, 150,000 people have been prevented from entering the country illegally.

For this reason they exist in specific universities and not in the whole country, having already started patrols together with other police forces.

I believe very soon everyone will realize that there is no reason for reactions and protests. Because they contribute to university security. The rector’s authorities are in cooperation with the Greek Police, after all, actions are decided based on the security plans of the universities. If the students had representative bodies, there would be full cooperation with them as well. Because students are the first to want their security and they are the first to benefit. Because they will be and feel safe inside the universities. Unfortunately we are discussing the reactions of some extreme ideological fringe groups.
