The Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, with his post on social media, responds to the “Internet hoodlums” who took responsibility for the attack on his political office and the threats they launched against him and the Greek Police. He asks the opposition parties to condemn the attack. Characteristically, Mr. Theodorikakos wrote:
“Online hoodlums” launched today, through their post, direct threats against me and the Greek Police.
Using, in fact, phrasing similar to a recent announcement by the Opposition Officer to me, a fact that I consider to be purely accidental and coincidental.
I expect from SYRIZA, but also from all the parties, direct and immediate condemnation.
After all, the brazen threats are not only directed at me. But they are also a threat to our Republic itself.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m not going to be bent or cowed in the slightest.”
