Turkey’s threats against Greece, which even question the sovereignty of the islands, will be presented by Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias at the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in the context of the 77th High Level Week of the UN General Assembly, with Mr. Dendias to characterize them as a “clear, present threat”.
“We will discuss here with my fellow foreign ministers, ahead of the UN General Assembly, first of all Ukraine and the developments after the Ukrainian counter-offensive”, said Mr. Dendias in his statement to journalists, upon his arrival at the meeting .
“But I will also have the opportunity to show my colleagues a series of announcements, statements and threats by Turkey against Greece, including the issue of the sovereignty of the Aegean islands. Because this has now gone to an unprecedented level, constituting a clear, an existing threat against the sovereignty of Greece”, he characteristically underlined.
