Mitsotakis’ message in Turkish after his speech at the UN

“Greece is not a threat to your country, we are not your enemies,” the Prime Minister said in a tweet

Kyriakos Mitsotakis wanted to send a message to Turkey and its people after his speech at the 77th UN General Assembly.

The prime minister with tweets in Turkish on the official page “Prime Minister GR” on Twitter says

“The Greek and Turkish people are in harmonious coexistence. Eight years after 1922 the leaders of the two countries signed a peace agreement. That is why today, from the United Nations, I would like to address not only the Turkish leadership but also directly to the Turkish people with this message: Greece is not a threat to your country. We are not your enemies. We are neighbors. We appreciate the many friendships between ordinary Greek and Turkish citizens. I know that the vast majority in our two countries do not want political conflict and enmity. So let’s move forward in a spirit of cooperation and friendship, with mutual respect and in accordance with International Law”, said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the floor of the 77th UN General Assembly.
