The government representative told SKAI 100.3 that Erdogan should recognize international law in order for Mitsotakis to meet with him
For “crescendo of frenzy and outrageous claims that have nothing to do with the truth”, the government representative said a while ago on SKAI 100.3 Yannis Oikonomou, on the occasion of the new provocative statements of the government partner of the Turkish president, Devlet Bakhceli.
Mr. Economou said that it is not the first time that the Turks, even by their own standards, cross the line.
“As long as it does not get any target, Turkey continues to widen the deadlocks and cause problems even in the international community,” he added.
The government spokesman also stated that “in Turkey’s effort to create accomplished, pushing the limits of the graphicGreece reacts soberly and methodically, strengthening the country’s geostrategic footprint”.
“We must be on full alert. Far from panic, with a strategy that allows us to be able to face any challenge, whether at the diplomatic level or in the field,” he said characteristically.
Asked about the possibility of a meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Tayyip Erdogan in Prague, the government representative said that for Greece there is no other axis, apart from international law.
“If the Turkish president wants to meet with the prime minister, that means he will have accept this condition as wellemphasized Mr. Economou, adding that our country has no reason to be afraid of dialogue,” he underlined.
As SKAI correspondent in Istanbul Manolis Kostidis reported, speaking to his party’s Parliamentary Group, the president of the Nationalist Action Party (MIR), and Erdogan’s government partner, stated that the Dodecanese and the islands of the North Aegean now belong to Turkey!
Clear messages in Turkey that threats and appetites crash on our red lines, while geography does not change if someone falsifies the maps, dominated the prime minister’s speech at the meeting of the ND Parliamentary Group, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of the party. Mr. Mitsotakis harshly criticized the official opposition and asked for a clean mandate for the ND in the elections. At the same time, he reiterated the urgent need to have a ceiling on imported gas with a European decision.
