October is developing into an excellent month for tourism according to Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikiliawith occupancy even reaching 100% in some areas for the three days of October 28.
“October is a fantastic month for Greek tourism and we will end up at the end of the month in the three days of October 28 with super occupancy in both the summer destinations and the winter destinations” said the minister characteristically, speaking on Sunday morning on the show “Kalimera » with Giorgos Autias.
According to the minister there is 90% occupancy in Pelion and Mani100% in Mountainous Nafpaktia while the demand is also great in Epirus.
“In Athens and Thessaloniki we still have large occupancy rates from Americans and French. The planes come and go,” he said.
At the same time, the minister stated that the revenues from tourism in the 2022 budget will be much more than the 15 billion predicted by Finance Minister Christos Staikouras.
“I assure you that we will be well above the 18.2 billion of 2019” he concluded.
