“Greece supports the European perspective of the Western Balkans and always plays a particularly active role, so that this perspective is fulfilled” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs

The foreign minister is in Berlin today, Friday, Nikos Dendiasin order to participate in the Summit of Foreign Ministers of the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans.

Upon his arrival at the Synod, Nikos Dendias said:

“It is a special pleasure for me to participate here in Berlin, on behalf of Greece, in the Summit of the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans. As is known, historically, Greece supports the European perspective of the Western Balkans and always plays a particularly active role, so that this perspective is fulfilled. We believe that only in this way will there be peace, stability and prosperity in the Balkans. From now on, I will have a bilateral meeting with the German Foreign Minister, Analena Burbock, I will inform her about my visit to Ukraine the day before yesterday, about the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and we will also touch on the various bilateral issues” the foreign minister pointed out.

Asked who she thinks it will be Germany’s stance on Turkish provocation Mr. Dendias said: “I think that Mrs. Burbok, during her presence in Athens, but I must say also in Ankara, positioned herself with absolute clarity and with a solid European position, based on European principles and values. But it is necessary for him to have a constant update, like all other EU Ministers, about what is happening in our region and how the situation is developing.”
