The USA proves the geopolitical importance it displays towards Greece and the role of our country as a factor of stability and security in the region – Mitsotakis communication with Blinken and Erdogan’s battle inside his country

Her “watchful” presence at every opportunity continues to show American leadership in its wider region Eastern Mediterranean and on the side of Greece, as it has repeatedly shown recently under the shadow of the ongoing and escalating Turkish provocation. In the orderly environment that Tayyip ErdoÄŸan seeks with his rhetoric and attitude, and as long as the geopolitical instability due to the war in Ukraine affects the wider region and causes collateral tensions, the US proves the geopolitical importance it displays towards Greece and its role of our country as a factor of stability and security in the region.
The communication of the American Minister of Foreign Affairs also had this object Anthony Blinken with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during which the American diplomat expressed the appreciation of the United States for the efforts made by Greece as an important ally and partner in NATO.
As announced by the representative of the State Department Ned Price “Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken spoke today with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The Minister and Prime Minister Mitsotakis discussed efforts to support Ukraine’s security amid Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked war, and the importance of promoting stability in the Eastern Mediterranean. The minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Greece as an important ally and partner in NATO”.
Earlier, Kyriakos Mitsotakis with a post on Twitter announced his communication with the American Secretary of State, speaking of a constructive dialogue. “Constructive call we had today with @SecBlinken. We discussed our close coordination as NATO Allies to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia, as well as recent developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.” said the prime minister.
A communication in which its great importance for the Greek-Turkish language is contained in the last phrase of the Greek Prime Minister “recent developments in the Eastern Mediterranean”, with which he photographed the incendiary rhetoric of Ankara and the verbal deviations of the Turkish leadership that escalate the tension but very more the recent destabilizing moves of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean, with the attempt to implement the illegal Turkish-Libyan memorandum.
Erdogan’s internal battle
Turkey’s international isolation and the fronts it has opened with the West for Vladimir Putin’s “eyes” push Tayyip Erdogan to invent new enemies of Turkey. It seems that he uses both his palinades and the behind-the-scenes movements in the shadow of the war in Ukraine, in order to justify to the Turkish citizens his policy and the impasses it causes in the wintering Turkish society.
After the cabinet, the Turkish President made a series of promises for a better future, speaking of “imperialists who do not digest Turkey’s political and economic independence”. At the same time, he stated that the government has turned overt and covert embargoes into an opportunity, strengthening the country’s power.
On the way to the Turkish polls anyway, Tayyip Erdogan he is expected to “play everything for everything” using every legal and illegal means, as analysts estimate, in order to hold on to the presidency, which he has not secured so far. However, what can be seen in the latest poll is that the nationalist rhetoric of the Turkish president, which adds fuel to the fire of tension both with Greece and with the West, seems to be bearing fruit, since after a very long time he appears to have some advantage, even and with a unit from Kemal Kilicdaroglu, in case he is his opponent in the electoral battle.
Specifically, Mr Erdogan registers a rate of 44.9% against his 43.9% Kilindarogu.
