The Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, which will take place on Monday in Brussels Nikos Dendias. The work of the Council will be preceded by a working breakfast of EU foreign ministers with the leader of the opposition of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsykhanovskaya, with topics on the agenda the Russian invasion of Ukraine (where at the beginning of the discussion the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kouleba) and developments in the Western Balkans. The situation in the Great Lakes region will be discussed at the working lunch.
At the Council, the foreign ministers will exchange views on current international and regional developments, including the developments in Lebanon, Iran, while the High Representative will inform about the process of sending observers to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the events related to the 27th Conference of the Convention of the United Nations on Climate (COP27), as well as for the results of the EU Summit. – CELAC (Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños – Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) held in Buenos Aires on October 27.
Nikos Dendias is expected to inform his counterparts about developments in the Aegean and South-Eastern Mediterranean.
