The government’s wrong political choices are escalating the problems and “the staff state of Mr. Mitsotakis is proving to be a wrapper of a clientelistic centralized power” pointed out by the Slow the president of PASOK – Movement for Change Nikos Androulakis.

Mr. Androulakis, on the occasion of a publication of the newspaper “To Vima”, underlined that the institutional deviation is confirmed. “Predator is used by the EYP and Mr. Mitsotakis must tell the Greek people the whole truth. In the context of his speech, Mr. Androulakis emphasized that “before the next national elections, the Greek people must know the size of this parastatal mechanism and Mr. Mitsotakis should not push the information to 2024. Greece cannot have 17,000 people monitored , a huge increase in recent years. Where else in Europe does this happen? The increase started with SYRIZA and continues with New Democracy.”

“It is very crucial that the Democratic Party, which created the independent authorities and Clarity to know where the taxes of the Greek people are going, which fought to unite all Greeks in the post-colonial years, be the guarantor and the strong protagonist in the next national elections for a better future for all Greek women and men” defined the political stake.

Referring to the widening of social inequalities, Mr. Androulakis referred to the loss of purchasing power of households due to inflation and the energy crisis. “In the first nine months of the year, citizens’ debts to the tax office were 5.8 billion euros”, highlighted Mr. Androulakis and made special reference to the gap between interest rates on deposits and interest rates on loans. “Mr. Mitsotakis acts as the traffic controller of powerful financial interests,” concluded Mr. Androulakis.

Commenting on the Prime Minister’s aversion that if you vote for PASOK, it is equivalent to voting for SYRIZA, he said: “Who says that? Mr. Mitsotakis? Who together with SYRIZA voted against the first memorandum while the country was on the verge of bankruptcy? Which major reform of those proposed by the Democratic Party did Mr. Mitsotakis and the company of Megaros Maximos support over time? They suddenly remembered that they are on the shore of realism and reason. Together with SYRIZA they were in the lower squares, together with SYRIZA they worked for the Greek people.

The one that looks like SYRIZA is not PASOK. It is the “blue SYRIZA” that is called New Democracy and is doing the same and worse than what Mr. Tsipras and Mr. Kammenos did to the institutions.”
