Dendias with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister: Our relations with the Gulf countries are a success story

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated that he is preparing the Prime Minister’s visit to Bahrain and also the signing of eight other Agreements between the Kingdom and the Hellenic Republic.

Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the foreign minister had Nikos Dendiason the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue in Manama, Bahrain.

After the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, said: “It was a great pleasure for me today to be here in Bahrain, within the framework of the Manama Dialogue.” I had the honor together with my counterpart to sign two Agreements between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hellenic Republic, for the cooperation of Diplomatic Academies and for diplomatic passports, in order to facilitate contacts between our two countries”.

As Mr. Dendias said, “at the bilateral meeting we made a long analysis of the relations between our two countries. I am preparing the Prime Minister’s visit to Bahrain and also the signing of eight other Agreements between the Kingdom and the Hellenic Republic. And beyond that, we had an overall view of the world: the problems created by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the problems in Europe, in security, in the supply chain, but also, the problems in Africa, in sub-Saharan Africa, in the Arab Gulf. And in general we did a complete analysis.”

He also emphasized that he had the opportunity to inform him about the issues concerning the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean, what Greece is facing from Turkish provocation, underlining: “Our relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and with the Gulf countries are a success story. We have created a close bond, a bond that allows for mutual investment and communication between our peoples.”
