The message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in detail
“When I think of the Mediterranean, I think of a region with enormous potential and opportunities, but also challenges that must be faced together.
I’m thinking about hospitality. I think about shared values and shared history.
The unique ecosystem of our region offers a variety of landscapes, which are currently threatened by climate change.
However, our commitment to meet this challenge, through the Union for the Mediterranean, gives us hope in a safer, environmentally neutral and sustainably growing area.
Commitment to our shared values contributes to stability and prosperity in our region, based on shared principles, the cornerstone of which is International Law.
Our common history, the opportunities and challenges in our region, as well as the feeling of belonging and closeness, as well as the contacts between our peoples lay the foundations for more intensive cooperation.
I am sure that in this context, the Union for the Mediterranean will play a decisive role.”
