“We must be extremely careful as revisionism tries to find a foothold on quicksand,” he stressed. the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias in his speech at 29th OSCE Ministerial Council taking place today in Łódź, Poland.
As he noted, this year’s ministerial meeting is taking place under the shadow of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. “We would not have reached this point if Russia had chosen to do the obvious, to respect International Law,” he pointed out.

“Respect for International Law is the hard core of predictability in international relations. It is the cornerstone of our international system. And only respect for International Law can guide us in order to get out of the current security crisis”.
“There is no excuse for not respecting International Law. This is a matter of key importance,” the Foreign Minister stressed.
“National sovereignty, territorial integrity, refraining from the use or threat of use of force are the fundamental principles and are non-negotiable,” he said, adding that these principles “do not depend on the particular values or historical background that may have a country or by whether conditions have changed’.
“Greece is a country that is committed to promoting a stable and secure environment in accordance with International Law,” he underlined. “Solutions can be found through an inclusive dialogue and the OSCE has a role to play.”
“Greece is fully aligned with the EU’s positions as expressed in its statement,” noted Mr. Dendias and concluded by saying that the country will continue to provide its full support to the current and upcoming presidency of North Macedonia in this hard work.
